Class Descriptions
Private Coaching is defined as one-on-one instruction between student and instructor. We usually have open positions for 1-2 regular monthly clients per coach. Typically, these types of clients have a determined goal, or want to put their best foot forward for 30 days. After the initial period is complete, the student may shift toward our popular CrossFit Classes in the second month. We would love the chance to interview any interested prospects! This is our most “Coaching interactive” option.
Semi-Private Coaching can be completed with 2-3 people. This type of training works great if friends or family members would like to work out together. The bond created between groups of students like this lasts a lifetime. The added bonus of this coaching is the cost savings. Students still get the same great training they have come to love – yet at 1/3 of the price.
CrossFit Classes are our most popular option for coaching! These classes can have anywhere from 2-12 students in them at any time. The beauty of these classes is that any student can take any class offered on our schedule at any time during the week. Going on vacation? No problem. Take as many classes as you want when you get back. If any student ends up missing a week during the month…they can make up as many classes as they wish during that particular month. The classes are motivating, challenging, provide great comrade, and a very low cost option for Private Coaching.
CrossFit Foundations are for students interested in learning the basic concepts of CrossFit. Our Coaches break down the basic CrossFit exercises, spend more time going over the detail of each exercise, and most classes have no “pressure” of performing for time. In this class, we are more interested in technique and form that power output.
Muay Thai is an ancient form of Martial Arts that has currently gained fame as an art of “stand-up” kickboxing. This art form can be used for general fitness conditioning, self defense, and/or supervised fighting in a sport setting such as the UFC. Many Mixed Martial Arts competitors have found this form of Martial Arts successful to compliment their Jujitsu, and shoot fighting skills.
Muay
Thai, translated into English as Thai Boxing, is the
national sport of Thailand and is a martial art with origins in
the ancient battlefield tactics of the Siamese (or Thai) army.
It evolved from Krabi-Krabong, literally sword and baton, the
hand-to-hand tactics of the Thai army. The early Muay Thai bouts
pitted different companies within the Siamese army against each
other with few rules and no weight divisions or time limits.
They became quite popular and eventually were shown in stadia
across the country. In the early 20th century, time limits,
boxing gloves as well as a uniform set of rules were introduced.
During the latter half of the 20th century Muay Thai was
exported to many countries and is now practiced by hundreds of
thousands of people all over the world. Muay Thai is known as "King of the Ring" in
kickboxing circles. These fights feature punches, kicks, elbows,
knees, standing grappling and head-butts to wear down and knock
out their opponent. Thai training methods develop devastating
power, speed and superb cardio-vascular endurance as well as
fighting spirit. Muay Thai training as also quite safe thanks to
sophisticated pad training that evolved to keep fighters healthy
between fights. Muay Thai has also proven very effective outside
the ring and has been embraced enthusiastically by practitioners
of a variety of self-defense, sporting, military and law
enforcement activities.. Every participant must complete a
